Over the past decade, the share of commercial solar installations in New Zealand has grown significantly, increasing from 11% in 2013 to 34% in 2022. In 2022, approximately 18 MW of commercial solar capacity was added, with new installations averaging around 32 kW each, reflecting an average annual growth rate of 56.5%.
